Chocolate SOAP!

We saw this peppermint patty soap today and Erinn thought that would be "so cool" to make. I hope it's ok to link to this - I dont know the lady who came up with this idea, but she is very creative!
Personally, I don't really care for chocolate all that much, and putting it in soap may improve it, so we decided to give it a try since it sure does look pretty! We found a link (Chocolate Soaps 101) and made some chocolate soap today.

This is the solid brown chocolate part that we will cut into little pieces for the brown chunks.
As you can see, it did get a little bit of "ash" on it as it cooled, but it wasn't much. I was able to wipe it off later, and it didnt come back.

You cant really tell from this picture, but this is a HUGE amount of "chocolate chunks"! Maybe I should make chocolate chip cookies too. ;o)

I am going to have enough of this stuff to last for years...
It multiplied when I cut it up! It got darker too, which I think looks nicer.

Sprinkle some into the pans, then pour the peppermint soap over it.

Although the soap is yellowy right now, it will lighten up to almost white as it hardens. (Hopefully!)

I cut the bars at 5 this morning and they turned out great!
